To a Homeless Person Who Blames Capitalism

I cannot respond to this post (below) where it was posted since I would be instantly suspended. No one was suspended for agreeing with everything she says or who blames free market capitalism, Donald Trump or the Christian church (the usual suspects for the left). Sarah Beauchamp, the homeless author, is angry because she was made to move from private property to a government sponsored "campground". She is angry because the bureaucrats that run it aren't delivering all the services they were promised. She wonders where the 800K that was spent on this homeless resettlement project went. But does she blame anyone who was actually responsible for her predicament? Look, I'm not a mean person. I spent 4 decades working to help the homeless, disabled, seniors with disabilities, low-income families, abused women and children and the mentally ill. I have no 401K or retirement plan. They don't call them nonprofits for nothing.

I've even been homeless before. It was not fun. We weren't taking drugs. Circumstances not in my control left my wife and I out on the street. I scraped enough together to get into a cheap motel room with WiFi. I got busy online and earned enough freelancing to keep us in the hotel and scrape together food. My wife cleaned the room to a shine worthy of a surgical suite. We borrowed a little from family to help us get through and from an organization that owed me for a lot of free labor I did. We prayed a lot and God sent us landlords who were wonderful Christians who helped us get through months where we weren't able to pay the rent.

Once I retired and social security started up our situation stabilized and we caught up. We'd have recovered more quickly, but we elected a president who killed my business (and it wasn't Trump). We were recovering during 2017-2020, even during Covid, but in January 2021, the bottom fell out of my freelance and grant-writing market again. I work from home because both of us are pretty much disabled now. So the spiraling cost of living has added $400 a month to our expenses in the past two years. So it's a struggle. But socialism has done little to help us, that I can tell you.

To Sarah:

You know, you indite capitalism for the failures of the socialist style program that dragged you out of the woods into what sounds like a government gulag. I'm from Texas. Where I lived in East Texas we have some amazing homeless shelters. They come with warm food, safe indoor rooms, clothing programs and job placement services. The churches created a common social service setup to prevent people from shopping church to church preying on people's sympathies for money for drugs. There's a huge train yard there and we used to get a flood of hoboes and homeless off the Interstate. After we organized ourselves, set up food banks in dozens of churches, folks who wanted to stop being homeless were able to. Word quickly got around the homeless community that if you get off the train in Tyler, they'll make you work.  That cut the homeless population drastically. The corner panhandlers got to where no one would give them money. You'd see guys with a bag of cold uneaten McDonald's hamburgers which was a dead giveaway they weren't hungry like the sign said.

This homeless guy was taking in $200 an hour.

Your situation is exactly how socialism works. If there's no incentive to do better, you get bureaucrats who sit in the office and embezzle from the organization. A lot of homeless folks are angry at Christian churches, but the irony is, they can be the best route to recovery. Our churches in East Texas did so well with the church-based food bank program that the feds cut the Food Stamp Program by 800K. They tried to recuperate their funding by spending 150K, not on food but on a marketing program. The theme of the ad campaign was "Food Stamps is not part of welfare reform." When asked they said nothing would change with regard to the proctological application program people had to go through, they just wanted more applications. It turns out the homeless numbers their appropriation is based on is according to how many "applications" they get, not how many folks they give food stamps to. There's your government social programs. That famous one in five go to bed hungry statistic is based on how many applications they get. And if you make an extra hundred bucks to pay on your back rent, they pull your food stamps and make you reapply. And they count every time you reapply as another hungry person. Government programs play with the numbers like that.

Kiddo, if you're looking for government social programs to save you, you are going to be very disappointed. The purpose of federal social programs (Lyndon Johnson's Great Society) was primarily a tool to break down families of color and make them dependent and reliable Democrat voters. The big corporations the anti-capitalists hate pay billions to support Democrat candidates because they protect them from competition by small independent (dare I say "Mom and Pop" businesses.

You're mad at the wrong people; victimized by Marxist propaganda. Capitalism is the only system in history by which the poor have been able to rise in the world by working hard, providing quality goods and services through mutually beneficial fair trade with others of all class, race and culture groupings.

There's a Great Lie being perpetrated, but it's not the one about Russian collusion.
Here's Sarah's manifesto is appended below; written apparently with the help of her boyfriend who's spelling and grammar I've corrected.

My name is Sarah Beauchamp and I'm one of many homeless people who's home has been destroyed and forced to relocate to the encampment ran by the Tacoma rescue mission. My friends and neighbors have been forcefully relocated and promised safe housing, bathrooms, hand wash stations, laundry facilities, hygiene services, community tent, community food tent with access to food, microwaves, kitchens to cook, case managers to help with more permanent housing, job searching, and social worker services. There is supposed to be a donation center where the residents can go to claim dry clean clothing, blankets and other materials, but what we got was unlivable, dangerous, wet, cold stinking tents with no waterproof floors where the rain just pours into the living area ruining everything in it's path. The tents were made for snow.... Not rain, and made for ice fishing, not living in. Square footage allocated to each person is such that it barely allows for someone to lay down... on the cold wet floor. No bedding is provided or bed roll of any kind. I was given a power strip with 2 outlets and a USB port and the last heater they had in supply. Many more people came after me and still have no heat. Everyone's personal belongings are getting ruined by the rain.

The staff from valeo don't know what there doing and are usually sleeping or hiding in their office which is filled with donations of food but not given to the people who need it most. My friend who is a war veteran for our country who lives onsite has diabetes and in desperate need of fluids and sugar he ventures to the office and asks staff for a Gatorade or something to halt his plummeting blood sugar and was met with nothing but refusals from staff. They said "no you can't have any of this food in here it's for staff only." The Tacoma rescue mission is so keen on saving face and not admitting that they have fallen so short of the mark they promised that they are turning away donation's of food, clean dry blankets, tarps and ties and canopies to keep people dry. Why? They don't want witnesses to the deplorable inhuman conditions they are forcing these people to endure with no alternative as camping is now basically illegal in Tacoma.

We were better off in our tents because at least we were warm and dry and could feed ourselves. With rules like no cooking in your tent how are people supposed to feed themselves and with all the promises made dozens of people are suffering waiting for someone to advocate for them.

Well here I am! I was lucky enough to get housing but I have been waiting 8 years I lived at the camp and know everyone there. There is no Tacoma rescue mission staff on duty there only heartless, uncaring security staff. There's no laundry facilities or kitchen or food or donation closet there's no kitchen tent or case managers trying to help us better our situation. The tents are still leaking the conditions are getting worse the trash is overflowing and people are starting to get sick. This is a text I got from a good friend living there: "Okay, so we're all still getting wet all they did was throw tarps over the tents some people don't have heaters and the people who do have heaters some of them broke. There's food and drinks in the office I'm pretty sure they were donated for us but Earl went up there and asked for a Gatorade because he has diabetes and he needed some fluids and they told him no it was for the staff only which I was appalled by that.

All my new blankets rug was ruined from the water which is still getting in but we're trying to keep it out by stapling the bottoms of our tent to the wood the pallets we have like three or four tarps over our tents it's not under control yet not even close to being under control we can't cook in our tents but we don't have no kitchen no microwave . The garbage is out of control it's overflowing. We don't have no kitchen no laundry anything no place to heat up food the over here by our 10th where your tent was in my tent and Angie's tent is flooding no donations coming in no blankets we're out of tarps and blankets. How are we supposed to wash laundry we're going to have to convert back to hustling so we can get money to go do laundry and get food and such security is sleep most the time say night. The staff really comes out of their office"

The whistle needs blowing and these people need help before something terrible happens that can't be undone. Please help me help them and let's get the real news out there not some stuffy press release filled with lies to cover up what should be considered criminal actions by taking our homes away and putting us in a literal concentration camp reminiscent of the Holocaust. Being homeless shouldn't be a crime. That's against everything America stands for. Our founding fathers carved their homes out of the wilderness CAMPING UNTIL THEY FINALLY SETTLED AND WERE ABLE TO BUILD A LIFE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES. Everyone deserves a fighting chance to not just survive but thrive in this harsh world where the system made to save us actually harms us worse in the end.

And make no mistake, capitalism is the real enemy here. these people aren't unwilling to work, to find a better way to live. sure there's a bad element in every walk of life, every circle. Shouldn't we try to help those that are willing to help themselves? Struggling under the weight of oppression and greed's mighty heel? not everyone has all opportunity and the winning hand dealt to them. Some of us begin life with nothing and no one to show the way. If those of us with all the wealth and power could experience what these people are going through i guarantee this whole situation wouldn't even exist in the first place. What i want to know is how did this camp full of ice fishing tents cost some $800,000 for the city of Tacoma to construct as they claim? Where did that money really go and whose pulling the strings behind the scene getting rich on other peoples suffering? Solid American Peoples suffering in your neighborhood. And do you rest easy knowing that these same wealthy manipulators are running that corrupt system dictating the "laws" and "regulations" supposedly keeping you safe? Its time to wake up. Its time for a change.

We cant sit idly by and do nothing while our fellow Americans freeze to death or starve. Right down the street from where you live! Are we now advocating for the new holocaust? Are we accepting this yoke of tyranny and greed as the mantle of truth? I tell you right now i do not. I will not sit idle as my friends and neighbors suffer. I mean to see that change. Today. Right now. Something must be done.

The Progressive Revolution Confronts the Orange Terror

It's official. The Democrat Party's operatives have weaponized the Department of Justice, the FBI, the NSA, the IRS, the Military and the CIA.
Unless you're living under a rock, you've probably heard that the FBI has raided Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home. Why? they are looking to see if he has any classified documents in his possession. They hope to convict him of a violation that will prevent him from running for office again. Those people are really getting desperate to complete the progressive (i.e. socialist) revolution and at this point their time is running out, especially since Trump-supported candidates are winning contest after contest lately.

I don't expect we'll be having elections in November. I think we are at the point where the Dems, the media, the new "woke" military and their deep state allies will use monkeypox, a new Covid variant or a fake wave of white supremacist attacks - anything to stop the November elections. And it will all be in the name of safety, security and order. Oh, and peace and unity. Don't forget peace and unity.

The realities of collectivist, socialist and globalist policies "are coming home to roost" as the Reverend Jeremiah Wright once put it. Most Americans are a patient, mostly private people, content to take care of their own business and let you take care of yours. Early Americans were refugees from all those civilized Old World nations. They wanted to make their own way and not be put upon by hereditary busybodies. And thus we wound up with a nation of the people, by the people and for the people.

Unfortunately genetics will out and eventually the children and children's children and children's children's children began popping out with the obsessive compulsive bookkeeper gene. That's the one where the person afflicted with this malady, has a powerful need to put everything in some kind of order, document everything and control everything. Eventually, these genetically impaired individuals band together to try and apply some level of control over all those blessed with individualism, ADD, and the need to be free.  Soon they find a way to create laws and taxes to hem in the non-collectivists and to gradually begin molding a new American government in which the individual is of the state, by the state, and for the state rather than the other way round. Which is why they need to rig elections Soviet style so only the appropriate people always win while preserving the fiction that our votes actually count.

We are at the tipping point between the state serving the people and the people serving the state. The nation is divided more so than we were by slavery. And the old party of slavery is taking another run at reestablishing the two-tiered society once enjoyed by the folk of the dark ages. We're to have an elite hereditary ruling class that American Independence once thoroughly discredited and the masses, the proletariat, the people or whatever you want to call us regular herd beasts whose only use is to provide unwavering support for the state. And by state we mean the government run by the ruling classes.

Fortunately, there are still enough of us independent, freedom-loving, ADD, individualists, that the left is having trouble tipping America. Much as it would like to do away with our beautiful Constitution in favor of always-failed, discredited, Marxism on the grounds that it sounds good and makes those who think they are smart enough to be the ruling class.

First it was slavery of a race of people. Now it's slavery of all people and it's the same party that's doing it again to us. We haven't been this sharply divided since 1859 and once again it's the Democrat Party that would lead a revolution.

We did that once in 1776. Do we really want to see it happen again? Watch for the signs that the socialist left is getting ready to slap us all into line.

Rome Aids Washington Border Policy

Roman Catholic charities and organizations are supporting the Democrat left's border policy despite the church's opposition to the left's abortion policy. Scripture says the whole world will "wonder after the Beast." Seems like the Beast is wondering after the Image to the Beast despite their political differences.

The last two popes have come out openly in favor of a global (i.e. socialist) government with teeth (Pope Benedict's words). The teeth would be to keep troublesome nations like the US in line. Despite its firm stand on abortion, the Vatican is far more supportive of global socialism these days than they are of liberty. The Holy See prefers social "justice" to freedom it seems. So, in fact, do many progressive Protestant churches. There is even a movement to reunite Protestant churches to the so-called "mother church." Pope Frances has issued a video declaring an end to Martin Luther's little protest. The churches that seem most interested in reuniting with the "mother church" are those with political ties to progressivism. Here's what Frances had to say to a gathering of Protestant evangelicals of the charismatic strain.

As it turns out, socialism may be the glue that will cement the power of the 3 unclean spirits like frogs that come out of the mouth of the Dragon (pagan secular powers), the Beast (which received its power from pagan Rome, and the false prophet (who could that be)? What we do know is that these 3 powers will "perform signs and go out to all the kings of the earth, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty." Revelation 16:13.

This is all one more sign of Christ's imminent coming. The forces of darkness are gathering. You cannot watch or read the news. You cannot avoid the pressure to surrender and join the dark side. Whether you do or not depends on your faith and trust in He who is coming soon.

Note: We are called by Christ to love and not hate, even our enemies. We are also called to be watchmen on the wall, wise as serpents and gentle as doves. We see in these things the signs of Christ's coming. It is a call to Christians everywhere. Let us watch and be ready for as the old hymn says, "He will come!"

Well Doesn't This Sound All Mark of the Beastish?

Apparently President Puddin'head has got the Federal Reserve working on his truly disturbing all digital currency idea.  The Federal Reserve's Board of Governors has issued a White Paper titled:

Money and Payments: The U.S. Dollar in the Age of Digital Transformation, published January 2022.

The paper as one conservative news pass-through pointed out "Promotes consumer protection and community development through consumer-focused supervision and examination… and administration of consumer laws and regulations." A Central Bank Digital Currency sounds like a good idea on the surface of it and admittedly it might work if this were a different world that didn't have evil megalomaniacs in it that live for the day when Marxist global socialism is the universal power. The Founding Fathers of the United States deliberately limited the power of government to do that sort of heavy-handed thing.

The White Paper admits that under current regulations, a central bank digital currency would be an overreach. "The Federal Reserve Act does not authorize direct Federal Reserve accounts for individuals, and such accounts would represent a significant expansion of the Federal Reserve's role in the financial system and the economy." No kidding.

The paper outlines a process for gradually creating a digital currency as the standard US dollar to replace paper money. It begins by using intermediary financial institutions to shuffle money from sender to recipient. In practice, the paper points out, "this would mean that a Central Bank Digital Currency intermediary would need to verify the identity of a person accessing CBDC, just as banks and other financial institutions currently verify the identities of their customers." As the rollout of the system takes place, all human creatures great and small would have a Federal Reserve managed CBDC account.

This will be good says the Fed because, "A central bank could pay no interest on CBDC." Still because a liability of the central bank is essentially riskless, depositors (meaning us members of the proletariat) may prefer CBDC over bank deposits in a crisis even if the CBDC has a less attractive rate of return.

And here's the tricky bit. "A central bank could potentially address this risk by limiting the total amount of CBDC an end user could hold, or it could limit the amount of CBDC an end user could accumulate over short periods."

The Fed worries about the "potential effects of CBDC on bank deposits and bank lending, QNE the potential effects of CBDC on the economic decisions of households and businesses." By expanding the power of the Fed to control money and with the eventual elimination of paper currency and coins, it also provides government authorities to see and potentially "to manage" every penny you've got. Potentially, a fully implemented digital currency could be used to control and individual citizens ability to buy and sell. Why does that sound familiar?

Central Bank Digital Currency, the paper claims, could "possibly" interact with the Federal Reserve's other tools in conducting monetary policy to achieve its "macroeconomic objectives."  In other words, a digital currency under control of the Fed could be used to implement government monetary policy. Socialism, by the way, is just such a monetary policy. The game could be rigged to cripple citizens who step out of whatever prescribed financial practices the government decides to implement.

For instance, if the government wanted people to stop buying corn because powerful politicians wanted all corn to go to make ethanol, it could. It could easily block any purchase of corn products like tortillas, Doritoes or cans of corn chowder effectively deciding what consumers buy and sell. If you wanted people to service the Fed's centralized economic plan, what better way than to make it impossible to guy or sell stuff the government disapproved of. The potential for abuse is stunning, given the proclivities of our self-appointed intellectual betters.

The trouble is, a digital dollar won't exist in print form. Once the CBDC transition is complete, you can't go to the bank or an ATM and get physical cash from your account, not even from your CBDC account that contains your digital currency. Even more creepy, digital currency will surely be designed so that government via the Federal Reserve would have substantial control over your money .

In general a Central Bank managed digital currency could and likely will "generate data about users' financial transactions in the same ways that commercial bank and nonbank money generates such data today." In intermediate stages of CBDC implementation intermediaries like banks, credit card companies or money market managers would address consumer privacy concerns using existing tools, basically luring folks into a false sense of security. Then the Feds take over all that.

The Fed now forces financial institutions to comply with what the paper describes as a "robust set of rules that are designed to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism. " Given who the sorts of people government enforcement agencies are and who they now consider "terrorists," bloggers, conservative pundits and journalists, conservative Christians, etc., a fully deployed digital currency would provide federal law enforcement agencies a relatively simple way to track down any resistance to government policy.

The Fed's rules not only enforce customer due diligence, record-keeping, and reporting requirements for corporations and large companies. According to the paper, any digital currency controlled by a Central Bank would "need to be designed in a manner that facilitates compliance with these rules." Even during the intermediary ramp up of the CBDC system, private-sector partners with established programs would help ensure compliance with Fed rules even before the system is fully implemented. They seem to believe that it's a good idea to hit the ground running; get everybody onboard as soon as possible.

The Federal Reserve Board's Technology Lab is researching how to use application programming interfaces to support the issuance, distribution, and use of privately issued digital currencies. Note, the interfaces would be designed to support the use of your personal digital money. The Fed sells the idea by claiming that "central bank money is the most trusted and safest form of money because the Federal Reserve, as a central bank issuer, presents no credit risk and no liquidity risk." This supposed "safest form of money" is considered safe because security agencies would have much easier access to your financial records. Doesn't sound safe to me.

Digital currency could well be a highly efficient way to get money around. Indeed, it already is, No paper, no shipping things around in boxes, and no cubicles filled with file clerks. But those who would control us need to simplify everything in order to effectively centrally plan our lives. Computers help these simple souls who completely buy-in to Marxist socialist ideas.

Trouble is that making things simple through control of complex systems via computer, deceives the upper echelons who make decisions based on simplified data. Artificially simplified answers convince those using those systems that the decisions they make about complex issues about how more than 300 million of us live, where we live, where we work and whether or not we reproduce, that they are making wise decisions.

They are not capable of making decisions for millions of us. There are too many of us and too few of them and the issues are too complex.

Pro-Life Conservatives WILL Take In Babies That Are Not Aborted

Eli Boyd: Adoption Day, July 2017

It's a lie that pro-life conservatives don't want to adopt unwanted babies. Progressives see through their own behaviors and attitudes. Many of the most vehement pro-abortion activists simply don't want babies themselves and can't understand anyone who would want to adopt.

But we over on the Christian Conservative side do embrace adopted kids. Christian families of all kinds take babies and children into their homes all the time - babies like my grandson Eli. Our church in Tyler loved this little guy from the time Grieta Talios took him in as a foster kid at his birth. Grieta began taking in medically fragile babies a short time after her husband passed away. She became a leading foster parent in the area at an age when most of us retire, specializing in crack babies and kids with genetic and physical issues. And God bless her, she picked out my daughter and son-in-law to take in Eli. She gave him a great start his first year, but soon began handing off Eli to Meghan at church. I think the rest of the church was kind of in on the plot, making sure Meg and Eli got together often during church and church activities.

Much loved by Grammy & Poppy
After a time, this little fellow became so dear to my daughter and son-in-law that they couldn't live without him. They'd fallen in love and shortly after his first birthday, signed up to be his foster parents. Months later, they and half the church crammed into the courtroom on his adoption day as witnesses.

Nobody can tell me pro-life Christians won't welcome the little guys with open arms into their congregations. The Tyler SDA Church has practically adopted Eli as well. Meg is never short for baby sitters and playmates for him. His grandparents (that's us) adore him and do our best to spoil him. I wouldn't mind if they got another one (hint, hint). If we weren't so old and arthritic, we'd probably have picked up an adopted child ourselves along the way. As it was, we started and managed two day care centers (one that doubled as a senior day center). We worked with special needs kids and several that had been kicked out of other daycare centers. I spent 9 years helping start one treatment center and working at two residential treatment centers for children with multiple psychiatric, physical and emotional disabilities. Sheila worked with seniors with age-related disabilities. We raised 3 kids of our own and they worked with children themselves at daycare centers, treatment centers, Boys & Girls Clubs and in youth groups. Lots of our "kids" still write us and follow us on Facebook. Many have gone on to become teachers, therapists, nurses, firemen and artists. We are proud of them all.

My young cowboys circa 1984
Millions of innocent babies have been lost during the abortion epidemic. I know the estimated two million families that want to adopt would have taken in many of those lost children. If we don't get them here, in Heaven and the New Earth, I think God will raise them and give them to new parents in the new world. God can certainly give some of them to me - 10 at a time if He would, so I can raise a ball team or a crew for the schooner I plan to build. What a joy to raise kids in heaven or the new Earth. (They'll be dogs and cats and horses there too).

Sheila and her seniors.
So, if one of the guys, that posts memes about how cruel conservatives are unwilling to take in unwanted children, drops such an accusation on your newsfeed, tell them they're wrong. We don't just take in American babies either. We go all over the world helping children and families anywhere we can. The pro-abortion folks just don't know us very well. They look at us through their own prejudices and beliefs. We, who choose life, put our money, our time and often our very lives on the line where our beliefs are concerned. We don't just talk about it or vote for people who claim they will do all that pesky hard work helping people on our behalf. We can be bothered. And when we are, we do what needs doing ourselves. We don't wait for the government to take 40-60% of the money in admin costs and then take decades to get around to doing the job the money was taxed for. Jesus told us to do it ourselves, to visit the poor and sick and prisoners. To care for widows, orphans and the unwanted. Hard to believe for a progressive maybe, but for us, it is our great joy to obey.

Just What We Need - A "Left-Leaning" Democrat

Democrat - No relation
I live in one of those rare Washington State Republican enclaves on the edge of the Seattle liberal-dome. Our representatives, city and county officials tend to be reliably conservative. To the north of Puyallup, where I live there are enough Democrats to elect the governor all by themselves. To the south of us live Washington's version of East Texas only a skootch more conservative. My first men's prayer breakfast of my Graham SDA church ended with everyone loading up and going to the gun show. Our head deacon was buying parts to make a fully automatic AR-15. The elders often met at the gun range to discuss church budget.

Puyallup is where the tides meet. Currently, builders here are putting up senior-living apartments as fast as they can cut down fir trees to build them. Don't worry, those things grow back fast. I counted the rings on a giant one we cut down last year and discovered that I was quite a bit older than that huge hunk of lumber. There's enough wood in one of those to build a 3 bedroom house.

Seniors are fleeing Seattle, a once lovely city, called the Emerald City by folks who loved the city and they are fleeing in droves. They are fleeing a massive influx of homeless, drug addicts and growing crime and a government that pretty much encourages it. They don't prosecute shop-lifting so long as you can stuff it in your jacket and get out the door. They do prosecute business owners who knock down shoplifters and sit on them till the police come. The "summer of love" we had up here left a whole once-beautiful section of town trashed and storefronts empty as store-owners fled. Apparently the old people followed. They are filling up senior apartment complexes as fast as builder can put them up.

Sadly, the predators who preyed on them in Seattle, seem to have followed them here. We've had a spike in car thefts, porch piracy, vandalism, arson, robberies and mugging have increased dramatically in our little once quiet neighborhood. And the bull-dozing of local woodlands for new senior housing has displaced the local wildlife. We've got a couple of deer herds roaming our neighborhood using the patches of woods around our houses for shelter. Also displaced have been coyotes, bobcats and even a bear, so much so that people's pets are coming up missing.

So into all this, the above announcement appeared on the Neighborhood app letting us know that help was on the way in the form of a "slightly left-leaning Democrat" we might have the privilege of writing in for county council "person". His post sparked a huge, sometimes rancorous debate. I have the right to remain silent but not the ability, so I jumped in on the discussion. I was polite mind you and to his credit so was he. Some folks, however did get a little nasty. I find it's a waste of time trying to communicate with delusional people, but not every leftist on the thread was unreasonable. Though Mr. King lost me at "Left-leaning Democrat", we were able to have a civil discussion about my issues with the Democrat approach to governance.

My grocery bill doubled starting from the day Joe Biden put his hand on the Bible and was sworn in. Governor Jay Inslee is a nightmare and has presided over massive open and hidden tax increases that have essentially along with Biden's inflation made it harder for those of us on fixed incomes. Now my friend Mr. King wants an opportunity to bring "regressive" leftist notions to our local community (and no I didn't misspell progressive). The last thing we need is solid Democrat representation all the way up the chain to Washington, DC.

These guys talk a good game, but all they've gotten us with their piles of government programs that sound good is a crime rate that's through the roof (see Seattle), a grocery and gas price increase that's no more 17%, than the moon is made of green cheese. We've suffered an explosion of drug crimes, homelessness and unpunished shoplifting, virtually non-existent borders, and a military that's being gutted and replaced with as many political radicals as they can recruit. We've had a crime wave in our neighborhood that has touched everyone. My wife's meds were stolen from our mailbox. It's so bad that a guy who set fire to the highway last year, was released in an hour, then walked down the street and tried to rob a store. Then a few months later he shows up here and was caught ripping off packages from people's porches and breaking into a car, stuffing it full of stolen packages, then trying to steal the car. Wanna bet he's out again?

All we need is another elitist leftist trying to tell us how all us members of the proletariat ought to live, think, eat, work, play and procreate, while figuring out how to disarm us and make us subservient to the collective (see leftism = Marxism). Even the left-leaning light agenda of Democrats is riddled with bad ideas, discredited and dangerous notions.

How's that for what I disagree with about left-leaning Democrats? This thread started out openly left-leaning political so the moderators didn't delete the thread. Here in the suburbs, naked hypocrisy is a little too out there. So if the thread were deleted, we'd all know what party's doing the editing and, probably, the vote counting around here.

Do I sound angry and disgusted with the political left. Well I do because I am. I paid attention in history class and read extensively on the subject over the past 58 years since I was 10 years old. left-leaning is not to be trusted and definitely not something we want to see running our little corner of Pierce County. Puyallup is facing an invasion from the gulag north of us as surely as the border states are being invaded from the South. I get why refugees want to leave Mexico and Seattle. The trouble is they bring the predators with them. If you read our website and count up the car theft, property theft and damage and general crime increase in our once pleasant little neighborhood, you'll see the problem.

Why is it important that government be largely local? I sat in on meetings as a reporter in Klickitat County where it was discussed whether or not to copy a neighboring Oregon county and create survey teams with Public Health officials and armed Homeland Security officers to go around and record whether or not families were vaccinated or not, and while they were at it to check for flags (like the Betsy Ross flag which has been declared a white supremacist dog whistle), whether the household possessed any guns, evidence of pro-Trump signs, religious iconography and other potential indicators of domestic white supremacist terrorism.

Fortunately the county commissioners were NOT left-leaning Democrats. When asked if she would organize such a survey team, the county public health director answered, "Oh, hell no! I don't want to get shot!" Having that sort of power at the local level is how we guard our communities from federal meddling.

For me, it's why not to vote for left-leaning Democrats - to prevent this sort of collectivist nonsense from gaining a foothold. We don't need politicians telling us how to take care of our local problems. I was for 20 years a community organizer in Texas working across party lines. We got things done for our communities that a bunch of central planners in the halls of government had screwed up. We don't need left-leaning Democrats in power here either. We threw them out in East Texas. I recommend we do that same thing in the sensible parts of Washington State. Sorry to ramble on, but I have way too much experience with left-leaning Democrats. They're some bad juju I'm here to tell you. I don't hate them. I've even converted some of my left-leaning Democrat friends. They just have latched on to some bad ideas and run with them.

Rain, Snow, Sleet, and Gloom of Night Will Absolutely Stay These Postal Worker Union Snowflakes From Their Appointed Rounds

Our terrible, horrible, very scary "blocked" driveway.

I used to admire postmen. They brought the mail no matter what, right to your door or mailbox. And I still admire many of them and express my appreciation when they go that extra mile. They've gone dramatically downhill since postal workers got themselves a woman. Even then many of them continued to do their jobs above and beyond the call of duty and I respected them all for that.

That is, until we got a new post "person". It's not that she is a woman. Our two prior post persons were women and lovely people. I used to leave them little gifts at Christmas. If a package was too big for our oversized box, they would cheerfully run it up our pleasant tree-lined driveway (see above). It runs a quarter of a mile back into the woods and they would leave the package as the bottom of the stairs to our garage apartment at the very end of the lane. Then she'd drive on circling the house on the circular drive. No backing up. No difficult turns. The worst hazard she'd face was fat lazy deer in the road.

The first time this new gal brought a package to my house, she took one look up our driveway (above) and wrote down that the package was undeliverable because the front door of the driveway was blocked. This was an out and out lie. There were no fallen trees, no washouts, not even a pothole of any size. A big fat FedEx truck rolled up the drive just a day before to deliver a package to us. My two neighbors up here both are business people and with my wife and I both disabled seniors with no car depending on Amazon and Walmart delivery to deliver our stuff to us, there is a steady stream of FedEx, UPS, DSH, Amazon, Uber, Dominoes, Door Dash, and the disabled transport bus up this "inaccessible" driveway. We just laid down new gravel to fill any dips, bumps or potholes.

This guy gets up our drive every week.

But our snowflake postgal, the Amazing Kreskin, took our package back because she sensed that the road was blocked. Apparently she received some sort of premonition that it would be too difficult to get that 4 wheel drive jeep of hers down the lane. Now let me 'splain what happens when she does that.

  1. My package is late, a day maybe two. You can't tell because the post office won't talk to me, they list the wrong phone number, the wrong post office and make you hang online for hours before a live person will talk you to. Then that very nice person files a case and gives you a number and tells you someone will call back. (Six day later, still waiting).
  2. My package is taken to an undisclosed location and Amazon is informed that the package is "undeliverable". Meanwhile the USPS tracking number lists the package as "out for delivery" for the past week.
  3. Amazon won't give me a live person to talk to and apparently expects me to wait two to three days to be reimbursed, meanwhile reordering the item (an $11 watering can for my wife's flowers) to be redelivered.
  4. Of course, if they redeliver it, that same postgal is going to refuse to deliver it again. This is the second time we have gone through this with her.
  5. Last time I had to take an Uber to the post office ($15 plus tip and an hour waiting for the ride), wait another hour in line at the post office which they might or might not have, wait an hour for another Uber and another $15 plus tip to get back home.  Final Cost $15+$15+$11 plus the steep Washington State sales tax) = better than $41 for a watering can that lists for $11.

Even this beast got down our driveway.
Our service and retail industries had to work hard to stay alive over the CoVid "pandemic". They had to kiss customer behind to keep people buying stuff from them. Now that the pandemic is almost over to the chagrin of the Democrat party, the big business boys seem to have decided they can start treating customers badly again.

More on the slow death of civility in a coming blog.

Lies, Damned Lies and Even More Damned Lies

The devil's lies are intricately constructed. Check out his first series. (#9)

1. God said do not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil neither shall ye TOUCH it. (He demonstrated by touching the fruit, something God didn't mention.)

2. You shall not surely die. (Here he introduced the idea that the soul is immortal by nature, though Adam did not become a living soul until God breathed into his newly constructed body. But Eve is meant to doubt God since touching the fruit didn't kill the snake or, we assume, Eve if she'd handled it already).

3. Finally, he said that if Eve ate the fruit she would be like a god. (There's only one of those, but since Lucifer has already introduced the idea that she isn't going to die and would be immortal after she ate the fruit, it's becomes a much shorter step to believing she could be a god.)

Note the progression. Small lie assumed to be true -> Bigger lie presented as truth -> The Biggest lie he was hoping to sell is believed. You will see evidence of this sort of thing when you find they are saying things about how you think and how you are going to act if you were to get any power yourself that you know are not true.

Satan tactic is to lie, then confuse with a whole web of interconnected lies, blames his failures on his enemies (followers of God), then further claims God's people are doing exactly what his followers are doing. Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" outlines strategies the left uses to manipulate and deceive the proletariat to achieve the aims of collectivist socialist progressivism.)

Beware of these logic bending tactics. People who wish to rule over you will claim they wish to make your life better. They justify their deceptions because they have your best interest in heart. They mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They intend to be good masters, but make no mistake about it, they mean to be masters.

Insurrection Label Confirms the Left's Trouble with "The People"

Funny how the party of the people gets vicious when confronted by the actual "people". This from Juliette Kayyem, a progressive Harvard professor and former Obama official, and I quote... "Slash the tires, empty gas tanks, arrest the drivers, and move the trucks." During the Antifa and BLM riots this woman was all about supporting the misnamed peaceful protests. She supported "protestors" that caused billions in damages and wants violence against protestors that truly are "peaceful". The leftist politicians in Canada, taking a cue from the Biden administration quickly labeled the Canadian trucker convoy an "insurrection".

Insurrections happen when "the people" are displeased with their government and they've finally had enough. By labeling protests by ordinary Americans an "insurrection", they are admitting that "the people" don't like what their leaders are doing. And guess what my elitist progressive friends who think you are better than us ordinary people who worry about high gas prices that have tripled, grocery prices that have doubled, and utility bills that have us opening the windows and turning off the heat and AC?

As it turns out, the people don't like what you are doing dear leaders! We don't like it at all.

Response to "Dear White Evangelicals" Written by John Pavlovitz, January 24, 2018

Is this really like Jesus chastizing the Pharisees? Really
The progressive elites, who wonder after the progressive Beast,
say the Bible and the story of Jesus are "fake news"
.

An article by John Pavlovitz* from a few years ago was written to read like Christ's scathing denunciation of Priests and Pharisees in Matthew 23. It is intended to make liberal high church Protestants feel good about themselves and to denounce fundamentalist Christians who are conservatives and not progressives. Here is my response to my friend who posted it.

Did you get this from a DNC propagandist? TV evangelists have their bad eggs. The piece attempted to conflate naughty televangelists with all of fundamental Christianity. Well some do stray. We call it sin and roundly condemn it. And it's not as Pavlovitz claims, the sole province of white preachers. Some are white, some black, some Asian, some Hispanic. Some have stolen from their congregations. I know of a couple of guys that have even committed adultery and murder. Even the most righteous of groups, has its outliers and sinners. Just because some preachers have fallen to the lust for money, lust and power doesn't mean all of them deserve your hate speech, John. Your rigid stereotypes, blanket judgement and mind reading without evidence sounds exactly like the racist rhetoric of the Democrat party when I was a kid. If you check the clergy of the more liberal high church denominations, you'll find adultery, embezzlement, sodomy, and pedophilia taken as a matter of course. Someone once said you'd be hard pressed to find an Anglican bishop who still believes in God.

I'm reminded of what Jesus said about the devil your adversary walking about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. And as his time draws to a close, we are told he will become all the more desperate to seize power and control. Satan's original argument was that it was too dangerous to give people free will. And that people would best be controlled by centralized rulers, with the power to order the lives of people bound by that power to a Lord of this world.

There are two basic philosophies these days and there's one that advocates that sort of powerful centralized government. The other advocates smaller, less powerful government, individual rights, liberty, equal opportunity (not forced outcomes), free speech, free press, free assembly and free exercise of religion. John is saying a lot of things that sound good but in practice for more than a century have cost hundreds of millions their lives, liberty, property and has severely curtailed their pursuit of happiness. My opinion is based on long experience with government solutions to problems that are essentially local. Programs that are designed by ostensibly well-meaning legislators and bureaucrats in Washington DC, have a nasty habit of leaving a lot of holes in the system for people to fall into and wasting much and in some cases, most of the money on paying bureaucrats to make paperwork for each other.

Passionate do-gooders if spread out over a large area do a lot of good. But pile them up in DC and the pile soon begins to stink. As Frank Herbert said, "Power attracts the corruptible."

I got this response from my friend who leans solidly leftward.  "And in your view only those on the "left" are corruptible?

My answer? "Not at all."

There is nothing quite like a leftist for reading and confidently telling you what you think in the starkest black and white terms. I never said anything like that. Some rogue generals and commanders among the allies did some pretty brutal things in WWII, but who would you rather have won? The left wants to move to a centralized collectivist scheme of government. They have an antipathy toward religion that runs very deep. They'll allow "spiritualism" so long as, you can't exactly explain what you believe in terms of objective truth. Kinda like our new Supreme Court Justice who can't tell you what a woman is because she's not a biologist.

I watched a guy named Yuval Noah Harari, author of a book called "Sapiens" speak on the subject of what progressive globalist folk like Bill Gates, George Soros, Klaus Schwab and Barak Obama see as a brilliant vision for the future. It's some seriously scary stuff I'm telling you. This self-proclaimed "progressive" philosophy which heavily influences the political left, claims there is no subjective truth, only "your" truth. They say religions are obsolete; there is no free will - that's all an illusion; gender is what you say it is and teaches that to impressionable and easily confused two year-olds. They are excited about having drag queens in kindergartens. They openly say we should serve the collective (the State), rather than, as the Constitution says, the state serves the individual citizens and protects their rights.

Simply because you say you care about the working man, doesn't mean that you actually do other than about how you can deceive him into voting for the elitists that run the government. You seduce the unions for their vote and the day you get inaugurated, you throw 26,000 union guys out of work because you promised the left you would close the Keystone Pipeline. You drive up gas prices and grocery prices and try to tell us it's good for us and we're not really hurting and if we don't like gas prices, then we should buy a $50,000 plus electric car. Completely out of touch with the 80% of Americans who do care about that sort of thing.

And Republicans don't have clean hands either. There are plenty who appease the left in order to retain some power and to earn the praise of the media. They are as dangerous to the Republic as the most rabid BLM or Antifa rioter. CNN and MSNBC have become propaganda organs for the left, shedding any semblance of unbiased news coverage.

I'm just saying. We've been warned that we would see signs like these at the end.
  1. Children turning on parents
  2. People turning from natural affections to perversity
  3. Knowledge expanding rapidly. Computer technology is expanding so rapidly that guys like Harari are proclaim the soon-coming evolution of man from organic to inorganic beings.
  4. Persecution of God's people. Christians are being slaughtered around the world with nary a squeak from the press about it.
  5. The papacy seeking to reunite the churches under its banner and calling for a world government with teeth to force trouble-makers like the US to conform to the global government will.
  6. The pope has been invited to be the head of a new organization called the United Religions, a spiritual parallel to the United Nations.
  7. Men's hearts failing them for fear - heart disease on the rise.
  8. Plagues and natural disasters on the increase.
  9. The nations being deceived on the right and the left and all up the middle.
  10. Attacks on the church from inside and out. We've even suffered internal divisions over whether the church should be governed by a strong central administrations with investigative and enforcement powers. We know the council we received about centralizing power back in the early days of the denomination.
The devil isn't going to make it easy to spot where his most dangerous attacks are coming from. Things may seem to be right that aren't and things that some decry as wrong is being done with the inspiration and guidance of God. It's going to be confusing and whatever your current understanding, we should come together in love and brotherhood to work things out. Christ's way is loving and nuanced and tailored to the individual. Jesus doesn't bludgeon people or cram them into boxes for the convenience of church leaders. He may not have approved of what some were doing, but Jesus called them anyway and set them on a path that would lead them home.

It's not about left and right, although the left seems intent on checking all the end of time boxes. But I do not think the final charge by the forces of evil will come entirely from the left. Frankly I expect diversionary attacks from straight inside the congregations of the faithful.

Still, the very tendency to paint large groups of people with a broad brush is downright Satanic. Minorities are not culturally incapable of sharing values and beliefs with the majority. Accusations of racism aimed at all white people, for instance is as vicious as when Democrats passed Jim Crow laws, segregated schools, organized the KKK and denied voting rights to the poor. I remember all of that. It was wrong then. It's wrong now.

And lately, the meme from the left is that "There is only one race - the human race" is considered racist. This divisive philosophy has been a feature of the party that claims to be "for the working man" for two centuries (and for most of its history was devoutly racist). As Yuval Noah Harari says, "If you tell people a lie enough times, they come to believe it." In this way these progressive elites believe they can program people to believe whatever they are told since people, according to philosophers like Harari, Bertram Russel, and Gustav Flaubert, have no free will and there is no truth, only perception.

This guy pretty much reveals the devil's playbook and the man is one of their leading lights.

* I did not include Pavlovitz's article. Satan needs no help from me. Harari's screed was distasteful enough.

The Left Lies About Good Guys With Guns

This meme is a lie!
This meme is a complete lie. But then the left has never had any compunction about doing that. I believe it was Adolph Hitler in Mein Kampf who said, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” This idea that the ends justify the means is the cornerstone of the progressive agenda for bringing the USA to full socialism. These people do all the time.

I can name you several right off the top of my head.

  1. San Antonio Mayan Theater shooter  - guy entered a theater bent on killing his girlfriend and anyone who got in his way. He wounded two before an off-duty copy who was carrying shot him and put an end to the would-be shoot-em-up. Doesn't count as a good man with a gun because he prevented any from being killed.
  2. Ft. Smith AK shooter - shot and killed an 86 year old woman. A resident of the apartment complex retrieved his rifle, shot and killed the attacker.
  3. The Sutherland Springs Texas church shooter - Neighbor chases mass shooter responsible for 20 deaths and 26 wounded and shoots him before he can carry out plans to attack another site.
  4. The White Settlement Texas Church shooter - Church's security team takes out shooter. One volunteer church security team member loses his life. When the scene ended several church members were on their feet with weapons drawn and pointed correctly.
  5. New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO - Armed volunteer security guard takes out the heavily armed bad guy before he could get inside the church.
  6. Moore OK rampage, knife attack and beheading kills one and wounds another. Attacker shot dead by off-duty cop who was carrying.
  7. Garland Texas terrorists stopped cold by armed police protectors (good guys with guns)..
  8. Price Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia, shooter captured and disarmed.
  9. Blanchard, OK mom stopped armed home invaders
  10. 2012 Florida Internet Cafe - armed 71 year old foiled violent robbery,
  11. 69 year old Georgia grandmother stops home invaders
  12. Armed 14 year old saves self and siblings from home invaders
  13. Pregnant Ashtabula, OH mother of two opens fire on two home invaders,
  14. Media Madhouse in Indiana - armed employee saves two employees and a store full of customers and shot the robber.
  15. 72 year-old Jan Cooper saves her self and her 85 year old husband by scaring off an armed thug who tried to rob their home with her 357 magnum, Ft. Smith Arkansas apartment resident stops mass shooting in their apartment complex.
And that's a few. There are a lot more unstatisticized examples where bad gays get counted as poor poor victims by the gun lobby.

All of these incidents are thoroughly documented in my book "Give Guns a Chance" available on Amazon.  And those in the gun control lobby document few if any of these incidents where the bad guys are frightened away with any sort of context. And, heaven forbid that the criminal is shot and killed. The gun lobby counts defense against criminals as gun deaths - PERIOD. They do not document that the criminal was killed by a good guy with a gun. Instead the criminal goes down in those statistic as a tragic "gun death" without context. If you merely shoot one in the knees, it goes down as "gun violence."

The system is rigged that way, so don't buy the statistics without examining how the data was collected.
Look at the context. In my graduate studies in psychology, I learned that statistics can be manipulated if you are not careful how you collect the data. Or, data can be manipulated if you want to guarantee an outcome that suits your ideology.

As Benjamin Disraeli aptly put it more than a century ago....
