Just How Compassionate is the Progressive Left?

The Progressive Fantasy

America is fast approaching a tipping point.  The Left has captured most of the media, one entire political party, most universities, colleges, high schools, junior highs, middle schools and elementary schools. The film industry still makes conservative sorts of films when they want to make money, but mostly they make money-losing seriously "woke" and progressive post-modernist stories of misery and debauchery - at least the ones that want to win Oscars.

So let me list some things, besides my 40 years having to deal with entrenched leftist government programs, that have led me to my current conservative philosophical position.

Hatred:
Democrat rally in Michigan
  • Progressives hate Nazis
  • Nazis hate the Jews
  • Communists hate Nazis and vice versa in the same way the Crips hate the Bloods.
  • In WWII Muslim leaders of some Muslim nations like Iraq and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem actually supported Hitler in their shared hatred of Jews.
  • Many Muslim political factions, including Palestinian terrorist groups, hate the Jews and vow to "drive the Israelis into the sea.
  • Most Progressives unequivocally support Palestinian groups who share hatred of the Jews with the Nazi Party.
Socialism:
  • Progressives are pro-socialist and originate from Marxist philosophy.
  • Nazis were national socialists, not capitalists, but socialists all the same.
  • Communists consider themselves the logical end state of socialism.
  • Socialism in the 20th century has a dismal record of creating for people under socialist governments, what Churchill called "shared misery". The proletariat who are supposed to be the beneficiaries of socialist systems of government experienced deprivation, hunger, and oppression, surviving through black markets, theft and smuggling.
Socialist Mass Murder:
  • Communist and Marxist socialists in Russia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and other communist states murdered hundreds of millions of "enemies of the state" and killed other millions in waging war on their neighbors in just the 20th century.
  • Nazis killed more than 14 million Jews, Germans and Gypsies they considered enemies of the state and genetically defective Germans in the name of producing a pure Aryan race.
  • Progressive polices promoting abortion killed tens of millions of largely minority unborn children.
Serving the Collective:
  • Communists believed that citizens should serve the state/collective not the other way round.
  • Nazis believe that citizens should serve the state/collective not the other way round.
  • Progressives believe citizens should serve some vague sort of collective to be determined when the movement finds its superior leaders and create the Progressive Utopia which other socialist nations failed to do correctly.
Marxist Socialism:
  • Soviet Communists were Marxists Leninists.
  • Chinese Communists were Marxist/Maoists.
  • Nazis were Marxists. Hitler claimed Nazism was simply a better sort of Marxism.
  • Progressivism is a direct descendant of 19th century Marxism and draws the roots of its political model from Karl Marx.

Socialism's Eugenics Roots:
  • Communists practiced eugenics.
  • Nazis were enthusiastic eugenicists.
  • Progressivism throughout its history has believed in and practiced eugenics in the form of laws that resulted in forced sterilization of what they termed genetically inferior people (mostly the developmentally and mentally retarded), mass abortions of minorities that Progressive heroine Margaret Sanger called "human weeds," and policies of separation of people by race via Jim Crow laws, terrorism (the KKK), and segregation practices.
  • Progressive icon, George Bernard Shaw, insisted that "the only fundamental and possible socialism is the socialisation of the selective breeding of man", even suggesting, that defectives be dealt with by means of a "lethal chamber".
  • Liberal titan and mastermind of the welfare state, William Beveridge argued that those with "general defects" should be denied not only the vote, but "civil freedom and fatherhood".
  • Charles Darwin had a profound effect on politics and the ideas of Karl Marx. Early progressive socialists embraced the eugenics movement's definition of "unfit." The target of the left's efforts to improve humanity through science was not limited to the physically or mentally impaired. It held "that most of the behavioral traits that lead to poverty are inherited. Progressive luminaries like Shaw, HG Wells, progressive economist John Maynard Keynes, Harold Laski and JBS Haldane believed that the poor and certain races were genetically inferior to the educated middle class." It was not poverty that had to be reduced or even eliminated: it was the poor.
  • Darwin, himself, wrote, "At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace the savage races throughout the world."
  • John Maynard Keynes, darling economist of the progressive left, was vice president of the British Eugenics Society from 1937 to 1944. His belief in Malthusian and Eugenics pseudo-science influenced British leftists from 1907 till his death in 1946 when he endorsed eugenics as a legitimate science.
Progressivism's Confused Roots:
  • Darwin introduced the idea of evolution by survival of the fittest, which led to his belief that natural selective breeding would separate the intelligent upper class from the lower cast who would die out naturally from their own stupidity or be exterminated by the smart people.
  • Friedrich Nietzsche predicted the rise of progressive neoliberalism and attacked what he contemptuously characterized as the “Christian-moral view of the world.” He famously said "God is dead," and blamed Christianity for a rise to a general European culture of “decadence” that he claimed was careening on its way to catastrophe.
  • Karl Marx's philosophy that sketched the outline of the socialist worker's collective was seized upon by the upper classes who still held to the old idea of a superior noble class as a way to restore the privileged class to leadership that had been brutally undercut by the example of American constitutional democracy which had infected the Western world.
  • Francis Galton's theories about how to use a mish mash of Darwin, biology and genetic theory to improve the human race thoroughly infiltrated early progressive politics, capturing Theodore Roosevelt's, Woodrow Wilson's, HG Wells', George Bernard Shaw's and the Democrat Party's attention.
  • Eugenics was a good fit for the Democrat Party with their traditional belief that certain races were genetically inferior. Eugenics explained for progressive Democrats why Republicans didn't understand about race - even the white ones.

Every one of the political versions that came from progressive origins has committed more than its share of atrocities. The Soviet Union had it's gulags and mass starvation of the Kulaks. China's Great Leap Forward killed and/or starved millions of Chinese, especially poor ones. North Korea shoots any who disagrees with the Kim family, often with anti-aircraft guns at point blank range. North Vietnam murdered 2 million of its people after they overran the abandoned South. Cambodia killed a couple of millions in the infamous killing fields. And the list goes on and on. Che Guevara, the Cuban enforcer and darling of the American left, murdered people in the most brutal ways imaginable, a fact the progressives prefer to "forget".

And the American Progressive Left, really does think it can do progressive socialism better than anyone had done it before. This ignores the fact that even if you find a perfect leader, when he dies or is assassinated, the next guy is liable to be a sadistic monster like Josef Stalin and the whole thing goes to hell.

People don't want to believe in the idea of Original Sin - basically that left to themselves, people are no damned good. Progressives socialists philosophy is based on the idea that was later theorized by Abraham Maslow that people, if a heirarchy of needs is addressed, people will become progressively.......better. I've worked half a century with people and that dog won't hunt. Good people tend to be the ones who choose to follow the Christian morality that Nietzsche complained loudly about.

Turns out a godless Utopia just doesn't work out. Still Progressivism is rapidly approaching a tipping point, beyond which, our only hope is if Jesus gets the bus loaded and comes to get us. Dear God, make it so.

That's Not the Purpose..................Yet!

Beware the dreams of tyrants.

Recent movements by the Biden administration would move our economy from paper cash to all digital money. This would give government the ability to see every dollar we spent on anything at all. It would provide a means to track where we buy gas, where we buy food, what sort of entertainment we purchase, where we go on public transportation or even give the feds power to clean out our bank accounts altogether; in other words it would give government power over everyone's ability to buy and sell. That sounds eerily like something I read about in Revelation. But the kindly progressives, so concerned about our collective welfare, argue that the purpose of digitizing all money in the U.S. is not to control all these things...........at least not for now!

They claim it's not about restricting movement of Americans, for instance. At least not for now. But I can tell you from personal experience, I've sat in meetings in DC with progressives 20 years ago in which they fantasized about that very thing. The tracking technology that's possible with the digital ID does make that possible, whether they promise it won't or not. It's one of those deals where, "we have to pass the bill in order to find out what's in it."

The promoters of this level of government security, control and monitoring assure us that the whole idea is benign. You can trust us. We're the party of the people. Boy that ought to send a shiver up your spine. Just check out all the People's Republics in the world that are neither republics nor are for the benefit of the people. If you see the words People's, Democratic, or Republic in the name of a newly reorganized nation, count on that nation being a tyranny. Digital currency, digital ID and this sort of technology is a gateway to an all-powerful oppressive rule by a small group of tyrants. Bet on it.

Progressives two decades ago were dreaming about $10 a gallon gas (back when ten bucks was worth half what it is now). The idea was to "encourage" (here read "force") people to give up their cars and use public transportation by making it impossible for ordinary schlubs to own and operate a personal vehicle. They didn't have the capacity to create digital IDs back then, so they figured we'd all have to buy transit passes that could log our travel on some central computer every time we swiped one to get on and off trains or buses. One of the advantages they said was that law enforcement could more easily track "criminals". So what is the current definition of a "criminal". More to the point, what will that definition be tomorrow?

Back then, they dreamed of walled cities, not to keep people out, but to keep people inside; to keep them from spoiling "nature". The idea was you'd have to get permission from some government entity to visit nature outside the city walls. I was there at the symposium on transportation. I'm not making this up at all. It really creeped me out, especially seeing the gleam in the eyes of my progressive colleagues at the very idea of all that central monitoring. President Bush was in office at the time and one of the attendees suggested a motion to ban barbecue restaurants in Washington DC because so many had opened up since a Republican from Texas had come to occupy the White House. I'm not kidding. When they found out I was from Texas, conservative, and a male to boot, a bunch of angry feminists ganged up on me to tell me how awful I must be. The whole thing about forcing people to use public transportation exclusively was clearly driven by Marxist ideology. It is a control/monitoring tool they need to make old Karl's dream come true.

Digital technology is now capable of achieving that progressive pipe dream. Digital IDs and Digital currency gives the government the ability to strictly determine where you go, what you can buy, what you can sell and what you can do. That may not be the intent right now, but what about 10 years from now? Do we really want to create tools that provide government that sort of power?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a technology Luddite. I love my computer and the Internet. They are tools that allow me to exercise a great deal of freedom. That is, until government creates digital controls over the whole thing and digitizing our money would do just that.

It wouldn't be the first time a plowshare was fashioned into a sword.

  • Frank Herbert, author of Dune, once wrote, "It's not so much that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's that power attracts the corruptible."

Given the level of corruption in government these days, do we really want to hand them a stick to beat us into submission with, even if they promise not to use it............for now?

To a Homeless Person Who Blames Capitalism

I cannot respond to this post (below) where it was posted since I would be instantly suspended. No one was suspended for agreeing with everything she says or who blames free market capitalism, Donald Trump or the Christian church (the usual suspects for the left). Sarah Beauchamp, the homeless author, is angry because she was made to move from private property to a government sponsored "campground". She is angry because the bureaucrats that run it aren't delivering all the services they were promised. She wonders where the 800K that was spent on this homeless resettlement project went. But does she blame anyone who was actually responsible for her predicament? Look, I'm not a mean person. I spent 4 decades working to help the homeless, disabled, seniors with disabilities, low-income families, abused women and children and the mentally ill. I have no 401K or retirement plan. They don't call them nonprofits for nothing.

I've even been homeless before. It was not fun. We weren't taking drugs. Circumstances not in my control left my wife and I out on the street. I scraped enough together to get into a cheap motel room with WiFi. I got busy online and earned enough freelancing to keep us in the hotel and scrape together food. My wife cleaned the room to a shine worthy of a surgical suite. We borrowed a little from family to help us get through and from an organization that owed me for a lot of free labor I did. We prayed a lot and God sent us landlords who were wonderful Christians who helped us get through months where we weren't able to pay the rent.

Once I retired and social security started up our situation stabilized and we caught up. We'd have recovered more quickly, but we elected a president who killed my business (and it wasn't Trump). We were recovering during 2017-2020, even during Covid, but in January 2021, the bottom fell out of my freelance and grant-writing market again. I work from home because both of us are pretty much disabled now. So the spiraling cost of living has added $400 a month to our expenses in the past two years. So it's a struggle. But socialism has done little to help us, that I can tell you.

To Sarah:

You know, you indite capitalism for the failures of the socialist style program that dragged you out of the woods into what sounds like a government gulag. I'm from Texas. Where I lived in East Texas we have some amazing homeless shelters. They come with warm food, safe indoor rooms, clothing programs and job placement services. The churches created a common social service setup to prevent people from shopping church to church preying on people's sympathies for money for drugs. There's a huge train yard there and we used to get a flood of hoboes and homeless off the Interstate. After we organized ourselves, set up food banks in dozens of churches, folks who wanted to stop being homeless were able to. Word quickly got around the homeless community that if you get off the train in Tyler, they'll make you work.  That cut the homeless population drastically. The corner panhandlers got to where no one would give them money. You'd see guys with a bag of cold uneaten McDonald's hamburgers which was a dead giveaway they weren't hungry like the sign said.

This homeless guy was taking in $200 an hour.

Your situation is exactly how socialism works. If there's no incentive to do better, you get bureaucrats who sit in the office and embezzle from the organization. A lot of homeless folks are angry at Christian churches, but the irony is, they can be the best route to recovery. Our churches in East Texas did so well with the church-based food bank program that the feds cut the Food Stamp Program by 800K. They tried to recuperate their funding by spending 150K, not on food but on a marketing program. The theme of the ad campaign was "Food Stamps is not part of welfare reform." When asked they said nothing would change with regard to the proctological application program people had to go through, they just wanted more applications. It turns out the homeless numbers their appropriation is based on is according to how many "applications" they get, not how many folks they give food stamps to. There's your government social programs. That famous one in five go to bed hungry statistic is based on how many applications they get. And if you make an extra hundred bucks to pay on your back rent, they pull your food stamps and make you reapply. And they count every time you reapply as another hungry person. Government programs play with the numbers like that.

Kiddo, if you're looking for government social programs to save you, you are going to be very disappointed. The purpose of federal social programs (Lyndon Johnson's Great Society) was primarily a tool to break down families of color and make them dependent and reliable Democrat voters. The big corporations the anti-capitalists hate pay billions to support Democrat candidates because they protect them from competition by small independent (dare I say "Mom and Pop" businesses.

You're mad at the wrong people; victimized by Marxist propaganda. Capitalism is the only system in history by which the poor have been able to rise in the world by working hard, providing quality goods and services through mutually beneficial fair trade with others of all class, race and culture groupings.

There's a Great Lie being perpetrated, but it's not the one about Russian collusion.
Here's Sarah's manifesto is appended below; written apparently with the help of her boyfriend who's spelling and grammar I've corrected.

My name is Sarah Beauchamp and I'm one of many homeless people who's home has been destroyed and forced to relocate to the encampment ran by the Tacoma rescue mission. My friends and neighbors have been forcefully relocated and promised safe housing, bathrooms, hand wash stations, laundry facilities, hygiene services, community tent, community food tent with access to food, microwaves, kitchens to cook, case managers to help with more permanent housing, job searching, and social worker services. There is supposed to be a donation center where the residents can go to claim dry clean clothing, blankets and other materials, but what we got was unlivable, dangerous, wet, cold stinking tents with no waterproof floors where the rain just pours into the living area ruining everything in it's path. The tents were made for snow.... Not rain, and made for ice fishing, not living in. Square footage allocated to each person is such that it barely allows for someone to lay down... on the cold wet floor. No bedding is provided or bed roll of any kind. I was given a power strip with 2 outlets and a USB port and the last heater they had in supply. Many more people came after me and still have no heat. Everyone's personal belongings are getting ruined by the rain.

The staff from valeo don't know what there doing and are usually sleeping or hiding in their office which is filled with donations of food but not given to the people who need it most. My friend who is a war veteran for our country who lives onsite has diabetes and in desperate need of fluids and sugar he ventures to the office and asks staff for a Gatorade or something to halt his plummeting blood sugar and was met with nothing but refusals from staff. They said "no you can't have any of this food in here it's for staff only." The Tacoma rescue mission is so keen on saving face and not admitting that they have fallen so short of the mark they promised that they are turning away donation's of food, clean dry blankets, tarps and ties and canopies to keep people dry. Why? They don't want witnesses to the deplorable inhuman conditions they are forcing these people to endure with no alternative as camping is now basically illegal in Tacoma.

We were better off in our tents because at least we were warm and dry and could feed ourselves. With rules like no cooking in your tent how are people supposed to feed themselves and with all the promises made dozens of people are suffering waiting for someone to advocate for them.

Well here I am! I was lucky enough to get housing but I have been waiting 8 years I lived at the camp and know everyone there. There is no Tacoma rescue mission staff on duty there only heartless, uncaring security staff. There's no laundry facilities or kitchen or food or donation closet there's no kitchen tent or case managers trying to help us better our situation. The tents are still leaking the conditions are getting worse the trash is overflowing and people are starting to get sick. This is a text I got from a good friend living there: "Okay, so we're all still getting wet all they did was throw tarps over the tents some people don't have heaters and the people who do have heaters some of them broke. There's food and drinks in the office I'm pretty sure they were donated for us but Earl went up there and asked for a Gatorade because he has diabetes and he needed some fluids and they told him no it was for the staff only which I was appalled by that.

All my new blankets rug was ruined from the water which is still getting in but we're trying to keep it out by stapling the bottoms of our tent to the wood the pallets we have like three or four tarps over our tents it's not under control yet not even close to being under control we can't cook in our tents but we don't have no kitchen no microwave . The garbage is out of control it's overflowing. We don't have no kitchen no laundry anything no place to heat up food the over here by our 10th where your tent was in my tent and Angie's tent is flooding no donations coming in no blankets we're out of tarps and blankets. How are we supposed to wash laundry we're going to have to convert back to hustling so we can get money to go do laundry and get food and such security is sleep most the time say night. The staff really comes out of their office"

The whistle needs blowing and these people need help before something terrible happens that can't be undone. Please help me help them and let's get the real news out there not some stuffy press release filled with lies to cover up what should be considered criminal actions by taking our homes away and putting us in a literal concentration camp reminiscent of the Holocaust. Being homeless shouldn't be a crime. That's against everything America stands for. Our founding fathers carved their homes out of the wilderness CAMPING UNTIL THEY FINALLY SETTLED AND WERE ABLE TO BUILD A LIFE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES. Everyone deserves a fighting chance to not just survive but thrive in this harsh world where the system made to save us actually harms us worse in the end.

And make no mistake, capitalism is the real enemy here. these people aren't unwilling to work, to find a better way to live. sure there's a bad element in every walk of life, every circle. Shouldn't we try to help those that are willing to help themselves? Struggling under the weight of oppression and greed's mighty heel? not everyone has all opportunity and the winning hand dealt to them. Some of us begin life with nothing and no one to show the way. If those of us with all the wealth and power could experience what these people are going through i guarantee this whole situation wouldn't even exist in the first place. What i want to know is how did this camp full of ice fishing tents cost some $800,000 for the city of Tacoma to construct as they claim? Where did that money really go and whose pulling the strings behind the scene getting rich on other peoples suffering? Solid American Peoples suffering in your neighborhood. And do you rest easy knowing that these same wealthy manipulators are running that corrupt system dictating the "laws" and "regulations" supposedly keeping you safe? Its time to wake up. Its time for a change.

We cant sit idly by and do nothing while our fellow Americans freeze to death or starve. Right down the street from where you live! Are we now advocating for the new holocaust? Are we accepting this yoke of tyranny and greed as the mantle of truth? I tell you right now i do not. I will not sit idle as my friends and neighbors suffer. I mean to see that change. Today. Right now. Something must be done.

Response to "Dear White Evangelicals" Written by John Pavlovitz, January 24, 2018

Is this really like Jesus chastizing the Pharisees? Really
The progressive elites, who wonder after the progressive Beast,
say the Bible and the story of Jesus are "fake news"
.

An article by John Pavlovitz* from a few years ago was written to read like Christ's scathing denunciation of Priests and Pharisees in Matthew 23. It is intended to make liberal high church Protestants feel good about themselves and to denounce fundamentalist Christians who are conservatives and not progressives. Here is my response to my friend who posted it.

Did you get this from a DNC propagandist? TV evangelists have their bad eggs. The piece attempted to conflate naughty televangelists with all of fundamental Christianity. Well some do stray. We call it sin and roundly condemn it. And it's not as Pavlovitz claims, the sole province of white preachers. Some are white, some black, some Asian, some Hispanic. Some have stolen from their congregations. I know of a couple of guys that have even committed adultery and murder. Even the most righteous of groups, has its outliers and sinners. Just because some preachers have fallen to the lust for money, lust and power doesn't mean all of them deserve your hate speech, John. Your rigid stereotypes, blanket judgement and mind reading without evidence sounds exactly like the racist rhetoric of the Democrat party when I was a kid. If you check the clergy of the more liberal high church denominations, you'll find adultery, embezzlement, sodomy, and pedophilia taken as a matter of course. Someone once said you'd be hard pressed to find an Anglican bishop who still believes in God.

I'm reminded of what Jesus said about the devil your adversary walking about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. And as his time draws to a close, we are told he will become all the more desperate to seize power and control. Satan's original argument was that it was too dangerous to give people free will. And that people would best be controlled by centralized rulers, with the power to order the lives of people bound by that power to a Lord of this world.

There are two basic philosophies these days and there's one that advocates that sort of powerful centralized government. The other advocates smaller, less powerful government, individual rights, liberty, equal opportunity (not forced outcomes), free speech, free press, free assembly and free exercise of religion. John is saying a lot of things that sound good but in practice for more than a century have cost hundreds of millions their lives, liberty, property and has severely curtailed their pursuit of happiness. My opinion is based on long experience with government solutions to problems that are essentially local. Programs that are designed by ostensibly well-meaning legislators and bureaucrats in Washington DC, have a nasty habit of leaving a lot of holes in the system for people to fall into and wasting much and in some cases, most of the money on paying bureaucrats to make paperwork for each other.

Passionate do-gooders if spread out over a large area do a lot of good. But pile them up in DC and the pile soon begins to stink. As Frank Herbert said, "Power attracts the corruptible."

I got this response from my friend who leans solidly leftward.  "And in your view only those on the "left" are corruptible?

My answer? "Not at all."

There is nothing quite like a leftist for reading and confidently telling you what you think in the starkest black and white terms. I never said anything like that. Some rogue generals and commanders among the allies did some pretty brutal things in WWII, but who would you rather have won? The left wants to move to a centralized collectivist scheme of government. They have an antipathy toward religion that runs very deep. They'll allow "spiritualism" so long as, you can't exactly explain what you believe in terms of objective truth. Kinda like our new Supreme Court Justice who can't tell you what a woman is because she's not a biologist.

I watched a guy named Yuval Noah Harari, author of a book called "Sapiens" speak on the subject of what progressive globalist folk like Bill Gates, George Soros, Klaus Schwab and Barak Obama see as a brilliant vision for the future. It's some seriously scary stuff I'm telling you. This self-proclaimed "progressive" philosophy which heavily influences the political left, claims there is no subjective truth, only "your" truth. They say religions are obsolete; there is no free will - that's all an illusion; gender is what you say it is and teaches that to impressionable and easily confused two year-olds. They are excited about having drag queens in kindergartens. They openly say we should serve the collective (the State), rather than, as the Constitution says, the state serves the individual citizens and protects their rights.

Simply because you say you care about the working man, doesn't mean that you actually do other than about how you can deceive him into voting for the elitists that run the government. You seduce the unions for their vote and the day you get inaugurated, you throw 26,000 union guys out of work because you promised the left you would close the Keystone Pipeline. You drive up gas prices and grocery prices and try to tell us it's good for us and we're not really hurting and if we don't like gas prices, then we should buy a $50,000 plus electric car. Completely out of touch with the 80% of Americans who do care about that sort of thing.

And Republicans don't have clean hands either. There are plenty who appease the left in order to retain some power and to earn the praise of the media. They are as dangerous to the Republic as the most rabid BLM or Antifa rioter. CNN and MSNBC have become propaganda organs for the left, shedding any semblance of unbiased news coverage.

I'm just saying. We've been warned that we would see signs like these at the end.
  1. Children turning on parents
  2. People turning from natural affections to perversity
  3. Knowledge expanding rapidly. Computer technology is expanding so rapidly that guys like Harari are proclaim the soon-coming evolution of man from organic to inorganic beings.
  4. Persecution of God's people. Christians are being slaughtered around the world with nary a squeak from the press about it.
  5. The papacy seeking to reunite the churches under its banner and calling for a world government with teeth to force trouble-makers like the US to conform to the global government will.
  6. The pope has been invited to be the head of a new organization called the United Religions, a spiritual parallel to the United Nations.
  7. Men's hearts failing them for fear - heart disease on the rise.
  8. Plagues and natural disasters on the increase.
  9. The nations being deceived on the right and the left and all up the middle.
  10. Attacks on the church from inside and out. We've even suffered internal divisions over whether the church should be governed by a strong central administrations with investigative and enforcement powers. We know the council we received about centralizing power back in the early days of the denomination.
The devil isn't going to make it easy to spot where his most dangerous attacks are coming from. Things may seem to be right that aren't and things that some decry as wrong is being done with the inspiration and guidance of God. It's going to be confusing and whatever your current understanding, we should come together in love and brotherhood to work things out. Christ's way is loving and nuanced and tailored to the individual. Jesus doesn't bludgeon people or cram them into boxes for the convenience of church leaders. He may not have approved of what some were doing, but Jesus called them anyway and set them on a path that would lead them home.

It's not about left and right, although the left seems intent on checking all the end of time boxes. But I do not think the final charge by the forces of evil will come entirely from the left. Frankly I expect diversionary attacks from straight inside the congregations of the faithful.

Still, the very tendency to paint large groups of people with a broad brush is downright Satanic. Minorities are not culturally incapable of sharing values and beliefs with the majority. Accusations of racism aimed at all white people, for instance is as vicious as when Democrats passed Jim Crow laws, segregated schools, organized the KKK and denied voting rights to the poor. I remember all of that. It was wrong then. It's wrong now.

And lately, the meme from the left is that "There is only one race - the human race" is considered racist. This divisive philosophy has been a feature of the party that claims to be "for the working man" for two centuries (and for most of its history was devoutly racist). As Yuval Noah Harari says, "If you tell people a lie enough times, they come to believe it." In this way these progressive elites believe they can program people to believe whatever they are told since people, according to philosophers like Harari, Bertram Russel, and Gustav Flaubert, have no free will and there is no truth, only perception.

This guy pretty much reveals the devil's playbook and the man is one of their leading lights.

* I did not include Pavlovitz's article. Satan needs no help from me. Harari's screed was distasteful enough.

The Presuppositions of the System: Keeping People Passive

My Facebook account is restricted again*. I've discovered a new thing you can't talk about. As I've scanned the net lately, there has been a burst of actual disinformation. Even Wikipedia has been hit with efforts to show that Republicans and Democrats "switched" policies, especially on the subject of race. The discredited Big Switch Theory which posits that the entire Democrat Party suddenly saw the light in the 60s and rejected their racist past and Republicans suddenly embraced it, has risen from the almost dead and is bleeding into the history books and encyclopedias.

The trouble with this narrative is that Republicans have continued until the present day to promote racial equality. They were solidly in favor of the Civil Rights Bill. Democrats had to be bullied into it by LBJ who told them that if they did, that then the n!@#$% (his word) would vote for the Democrat Party for the next 200 years. Democrats at the time referred to it as the "Nigger Bill" among themselves. I used the word deliberately for its shock value so as not to gloss over the cold-bloodedness of the Democrats of the time. They appear hardly on the verge of a sudden conversion to racial holiness.

Of 60 openly racist Dixiecrats in the House and Senate, 59 of them remained in office for 10 to 30 more years. The only one that went Republican did so after it was revealed that he had a black girlfriend and a daughter by her. So he had already decided black people, at least black women, weren't so subhuman.

The alterations to Wikipedia entries, blogs, articles and historical websites have tended to push the narrative of so-called Republican racism back to the 1920s, adding all sorts of sinister behavior to "facts" about Republicans and to minimize Democrat support for racism in the 20th century. The strategy seems to be to recast Democrats as actually heroes, standing against racism in the early Progressive era. There's little historical evidence for that. The one major Democrat figure who began eliminating racial segregation after WWII was Harry Truman. Eisenhower continued to press against the racist policies of the day. Kennedy pushed for Civil Rights. Both Truman and Kennedy wouldn't last 10 minutes in today's Democrat Party which has doubled down on racial paternalism in a thinly veiled pseudo-egalitarianism that still maintains it's old white superiority over minorities who they firmly believe need the protection and guidance of the white plantation owner class of Democrat.

Noam Chomsky explains above how that tactic works. A big part of the tactic is to limit what you can talk about. At this point Facebook is limiting any talk of mid 20th century Democrat racism or the racist history of the Democrat Party. Part of this complex power grab is a strategy to hide Democrat racism and to find anything they can dig up to paint Republicans as the new racists and thus insure for themselves the power to effectively protect their own wealth and power.

I've been released from one of 5 types of restriction. The other 4 appear to be designed to prevent my infecting others with my disinformation (which although true makes Democrats look bad). I'm spending more time on other social media and I don't care what Facebook is doing toward cracking down on conservative thought. Like the Democrat party, I think the technocracy is over-playing its hand. It's a rerun of 1860 except this time the South has developed a little sense. 2024 will be an interesting year.

Almost Free at Last, Master Mark!

My April 25 two week Facebook account restriction is supposed to end today - one month later. I think they may have gone back to February and added 2 weeks for the Hillary Clinton meme where she was calling the suicide hotline to place an order. The most recent post was about a guy who went on a school campus with bolt cutters and stole a child's bicycle - a dirty rotten thing to do by most societal standards.

This February post got me in trouble.
Since the dissolution of CHAZ/CHOP in Seattle, we've had an epidemic of this that (accidentally if you listen to the FB fact checkers) correlates with the mass migration from Seattle by shopkeepers, the elderly and other victims of chronic predatory criminals. It seems the chaos and rampant crime that has plagued Seattle is leaking out into the nearby towns to which Seattle refugees have escaped. In my town, developers are rapidly building condos and apartment buildings for senior especially, to capture the flood of refugees with a glut of empty apartments freshly constructed. Many of these are specifically for seniors - Millenials and post-Millenials (whatever they are calling themselves) are excluded from these apartment complexes for obvious reasons, the penchant for loud late night parties, orgies, pooping in the pool and drug trafficking being just some of the reasons they don't want that kind in their "serene senior communities."

Meanwhile in Seattle there are so many moving out leaving behind nearly abandoned senior housing complexes and empty apartments, that the progressive city council is thinking of installing their homeless drug addicts and mental patients in those empty apartments. The folks still living in those apartments, of course, are thrilled with the idea of having people used to living in the local tent cities as next door neighbors, leading I'm pretty sure to more episodes of 'Escape from New Seattle'.~ (note this punctuation mark .~ is called a snark mark and indicates sarcasm for those readers from Rio Linda who may miss it).~

Anyway, I originally wrote this as a Facebook post, but decided that it would be safer to post it as a blog post with an innocuous headline that the vapid fact checkers of Facebook might miss. Anyway, the whole thing is ridiculous, but that's our leftist brothers and sisters who seem to be vying to see who can be the most ridiculous. This used to be called propaganda; now it's called marketing. It used to be called lying; now it's called "fighting disinformation."

Gotta love them, they tell us.~ Yeah, right! © 2022 by Tom King

The Problem with the Russell / Einstein Peace Manifesto

This popped up from one of my progressive Facebook buddies today. Like all progressive ideas, it seems self-evident. And it's got Albert Einstein's picture on it so it must be smart, right?

Well, first the Manifesto was published "after" Einstein's death so, I'd have liked to hear his take on it after it was published. Not that that was gonna happen. Also, remember, Einstein was a physicist. Outside his field, he was something of a Luddite. His wife had to dress him so he didn't look like a 10th degree hobo. He wrote, back in the 30s, an essay in which he wondered why a bunch of smart guys couldn't figure out how to make everybody happy and meet everyone's needs. The essay revealed Einstein's lack of understanding of human nature, original sin and the principles of human motivation. All that was outside his field. But he could 'splain relativity which somehow in the public mind, or at least the progressive mind, makes him an authority on all things.

Now, Bertrand Russell, a widely respected progressive philosopher was a real peach. He considered anyone who believed in God, especially someone who made his life's work as a minister or chaplain to be stupid and a threat to rational thought. Russell didn't separate religion and spirituality. Belief in God to him was all the same. He said, "Owing to the identification of religion with virtue, together with the fact that the most religious men are not the most intelligent, a religious education gives courage to the stupid to resist the authority of educated men."

Good progressive was our boy Bertrand. He believed educated men should tell the stupid masses what to do, that they should have authority over us schlubs among the proletariat. Russell was an arrogant, elitist, utterly enamored of his own high opinion of himself. At least Einstein was willing to accept that he might not know everything. And following Russell's advice there would never have been such an organization as that for which my friend worked and dedicated his life to doing admirable work helping folks in distress. Those who believe in God should probably careful about quoting Russell as an authority. I don't think he was working for the same "authority" that we serve. As old Professor Norman used to say, "He strives for a corruptible crown."

While what they say in the Manifest is true on the surface of it, to make it work, everybody would have to renounce war and embrace peace.  To do so would require a universal sort of conversion experience and the renouncing of sin.  This side of the Second Coming, that ain't gonna happen. It's like someone said about the conflict in Palestine. "If the Muslims were to lay down their arms, there would be peace tomorrow. If the Jews laid down their arms, there would be no Jews and no State of Israel in a matter of weeks." In this world, neither world peace nor Utopia are possible.

Sin, as it turns out, is an ancient universal pandemic and we can expect it to only get worse. Rejecting the one thing that has made any progress whatsoever against the darkness of war and crime and cruelty is probably a very bad idea.

Biden Compares Trump Supporters to Slave-Owning Confederates

Today the faux President told the nation that people who support Trump are worse than slave-owning Confederates and that the little dust-up on January 6 was the worst thing since the Civil War. And, he said, it was no hyperbole. That means "exaggeration" for those of you in Rio Linda.

Worse than World War I, worse than the KKK, lynchings, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the two Gulf Wars and 9/11?  Really Joe? And who was it started the very uncivil Civil War. Oh, well, my Democrat supporting friends will tell you, the parties switched in the 60s.

If you believe that I have a couple of bridges and some real estate in South Florida to sell you.

Nobody "switched" beliefs in the 60s; just tactics. Racism is still at the heart of the strategy of the party of the KKK, Jim Crow, segregation, poll taxes, church-bombings, the assassination of Dr. King, of abortion as a way to control "human weeds" and of the lynchings of black men and Republicans. But Democrats would have you believe in some kind of mystical mass conversion to goodness and light that happened in the 60s as a result of the riots, Woodstock, sex, drugs and rock n' roll.

It's all about power and how to gain more of it. Marxism, which is the engine that drives progressivism, would restore the old noble class and relegate the rest of us to the status of serfs in servitude to the state. The New People's Republic of Amerika would no longer be "of the people, by the people, and for the people." It would be "of the state, by the state, and for the state."  The Bill of Rights would be declared obsolete, a thing of the past, blocking the path forward to the new Utopia and the progressive Ubermen, or more accurately, Uberpersons (if they even allow the term person since part of that word is "son" and therefore genderism).

It's all been a shell game all along. In the end, we will discover to the dismay of some and as no surprise to the rest of us, that there is no pea under any of the shells they've been shuffling all these years. There never was. It was just a way to fool you and take your money from you. The Cloward Piven Strategy was supposed to force anarchy among the poor, the failure of the economy, and dependence on a Democrat president and congress to save the new legions of the poor who were to become dependent on the welfare system. This would collapse the system under the weight of entitlements and bring about full socialism including policies like a guaranteed income, nationalized healthcare, and a massive redistribution of wealth to save the country,

The strategy was embraced by the left wing of the Democrat party and arguably brought about the breakup of black families and a massive debt burden for the United States and for taxpayers for many generations to come. There is an old politically incorrect metaphor about the pot calling the kettle black. The myth of Nixon's "Southern Strategy" (he lost the South in a big way), and the racist politicians all switching parties (only one did and he had a black mistress and child), is pure bunk. Of the crew of openly racist senators and congressmen, only one of their number switched sides, for the reasons I said. The rest remained Democrats and it took more than 30 years to flush them all out of office.

What we're seeing now is what I call the "New Deal" Racism. Joe Biden is doubling down on everything that has failed in the past along the march to progressive socialism. Shoot, Karl Marx couldn't even hold a job himself. His ideaology has cost hundreds of millions of lives, reduced billions to abject poverty, given us extermination camps, race targeted mass abortion of the unborn to reduce those human weeds Margaret Sanger used to talk about, gulags, bloody wars, deliberate mass starvation of further millions and a veritable plague of terrorism worldwide. But, sadly, as Harry Nillson's Rock Man told Oblio in Nillson's animated musical The Point....

The Problem with Conspiracies

What do I mean "accidentally" cooperating. Is there some organization to progressive plans to take over the United States?  Well, yes. I personally hink it's the Democrat party in cahoots with government spy and law enforcement agencies trying to organize it all. They aren't the only culprits by any means and note that I say "trying" to organize. But is it all part of a vast Skull and Bones, Star Chamber, Illuminati, Bilderberg, Bohemian Grove, Freemason, Protocols of the Elders of Zion conspiracy to which resistance is futile?

No I don't think so.
Satan would love for us to believe that everything that happens is a result of powerful invisible human forces. Such powerful entities might ignore us if we stay quiet and small. If disasters and random terrorism does not require a vast plot, then such things might be random, unpredictable and might kill you no matter how innocuous we try to be.

But vast organized conspiracies would require millions of minions, all ready to submit their wills to some all powerful leader. That's harder to do and again, it means convincing millions to keep secrets, to do horrible things on command and to sacrifice their own lives if ordered to. Keeping such a vast organization secret isn't easy. Hitler and Mussolini couldn't do it. Stalin couldn't do it, Mao couldn't do it. Pol Pot couldn't do it and so on and so on.

Instead, at least in the early stages of the necessary "revolution," you have to sell an ideology - something that seems to make sense like Marxist statism. It's such a compelling idea and it's been successfully sold to generations of youth, despite the fact that the idea has never worked in practice. This has been done in the years since World War II in university and within the popular culture. It's been done by creating a messiah martyr in John F. Kennedy to whom, once he was safely dead, could be ascribed high socialist ideals. It was launched by the Apostle Lyndon (LBJ) who followed him and created The Great Society welfare state which effectively undermined the Civil Rights Bill and found another way to keep folk on the Democrat/Progressive plantation.

Devotees of progressivism all want to create a powerful government structure to force the new human created Utopia by law and by law enforcement. The trouble is and has always been that once the power structure is in place to do this, it attracts corruptible people like a magnet. The way Satan works it is by appealing to large groups of people's self-centered lust for power. This gets them all moving in the same direction giving the appearance that it's more organized than it really is. The fact that there are so many evil agencies indicates just how poor the actual organization of vast right or left wing conspiracies is.

Universities are selling Marxism as the "in" thing so practically everybody who is a member of our educated elite is doing the same Marxists things they were told by their professors that would give us a socialist Utopia - made by man without all that pesky traditional religion. It may look like they are all part of some mighty plot. It looks like a vast conspiracy because they are all using the same tools, riding the same horses, and singing the same songs.

Instead, like a runaway buffalo herd, they're all being run off the same cliff, spooked by loud noises behind them and led by the biggest bulls in front of them. It will not end well. Movement stimulated by fear seldom ends up where we hoped it would in our panic and terror."Ten years and global warming will kill us all," for just one instance. The use of such fear-based whips to steer the herd is moving us toward the tipping point at which progressivism's triumph is inevitable, the cliff if you will, over which we will all irrevocably plunge once more into Marx's often-failed, never successful worker's paradise.

Satan's favorite tool is chaos. The chaos is obvious when you look closely. It scares the crap out of people to think that a handful of terrorists can bring down a building and kill 3000 people, so they need it to be some powerful conspiracy. An election defies expectations so it seems like massively organized fraud, when it's much more likely that fraud took place because local groups all wanted to help turn the election. Some found ways to crudely throw big blocks of votes into the boxes, foreign governments helped where they could and it happened. It wasn't like any one over-arching conspiracy controlled it all. That way you can search for an organized conspiracy all you want to and not find one. Nobody gave the order. It's just that they all want the same reward, so they all work together from a shared desire, for progressivism to win and for all opponents to fall before its inevitable march to the future. What is created is moveable, directable chaos.

That doesn't mean leftists, frantic to win one for the team, didn't do all they could to try to affect the election, for instance. The shared outcome goal of a full socialist takeover of the US Government is a powerful incentive for rabid progressive socialists to contribute their personal efforts to Barak Obama's goal of "fundamental change". Because the groups involved were working individually, often using the same tactics, you get the effect of a conspiracy without the centralized organizational traces. That's how guerrilla groups and terrorist cells are organized - each acting but without any discoverable links between them. And every terrorist, Antifa, BLM, Black Panther, and terrorist cell firmly believes that when the revolution comes, they will be members of the ruling elite, their efforts recognized by whatever dear leaders manage to claw their way to the top. This, despite evidence that socialist regimes tend to shoot the more fanatic of their foot soldiers precisely because they aspire to join the ranks of the leader class. Remember "The Night of the Long Knives."

In fact, because the "conspiracy" is actually quite fragmented, you could run an investigation of the thing for years and not find any smoking guns or evidence for a central authority behind all this apparently conspiratorial activity. If the past proves useful it is in that it provides all the evidence you need of how these same ideologies turn out when put into practice (if you bother to read actual history and not the Marxist pablum university professors like Howard Zinn in his severely distorted People's History put out). FDR and Woodrow Wilson and their cronies loved Stalin, Lenin, Hitler and Mussolini back in the day. Socialism was going to be the cure for all our troubles. They were in fact, practically a mutual admiration society. Subscribers to HG Wells, George Bernard Shaw and Woodrow Wilson's shared a vision of a "scientifically" designed new world order. It might have actually brought the world to its end much sooner, except as pointed out above by me, there is always a bloody scramble to sit in the emperor's chair eventually. The progressive dream turned out badly for some half a billion people before the great wars and pogroms of the 20th century were done.

That bloody payday gets forgotten, often deliberately. It is especially so, when leftists are busily implementing that old Communist/Facist playbook step by step all over again right down to the disarming of the populace, seizure of private industry, medical care, and law enforcement and the management of it all from a powerful central government. Every method of controlling people must be raked up in the coffers of our betters among the leader class. They've taken the theories of Darwin, Marx, Hegel, BF Skinner, Lyotard, Maslow, Francis Galton and HG Wells and poured it all into a watered down bowl of progressive soup and propose to force the proletariat to drink from it and be glad they've got that much.

Frank Herbert once said:

It is the fatal flaw in all plans for a human designed perfect world. People of great intellect are especially vulnerable to the progressive idea. Even Albert Einstein pondered in an essay that there ought to be some way for smart people to create a society where everyone's needs are met, where peace is required and enforced and where the best aspirations of man are free to be realized. What Albert failed to account for was what a science fiction author like Frank Herbert clearly saw. There are in this world corruptible persons - unconverted hearts who serve themselves above all, and you can count on such evil people to mess things up.

As it turns out the only possible "paradise" is one peopled by individuals, each believing he or she should treat others as they would be treated and relying on the power of God to write that principal upon their hearts. Nothing else works. We keep looking for happiness without God, but as CS Lewis pointed out, such a happiness does not exist. We are not made that way. Satan told Eve we would be like gods. All we had to do was disobey a little. Don't we see just that same lie in the promises of the progressive ideology? Still we plunge headlong toward what must inevitably be a disaster. It's not like our prophets and messengers haven't seen it coming.
