Mass Shooting Conundrum for the Mainstream Media

Media Faces the Glen or Glenda dilemma.

Ed Wood, famous low budget schlock film maker, once did a very bad movie in which he dressed up as a woman for half the film and a man for the other half. In the film he posed the eternal question, "Which is it?"

This past weekend there was a shooting in Nashville* targeting a Christian School. The shooter was a 28 year old transgender person whose pronouns the shooter says are he/him. Reporting on this one will be scant I guarantee. This human who is biologically mismatched chosen he/him as the pronouns the shooter preferred. This presents a problem for our progressive news establishment.

The difficulty is that women make up less than 2% of mass shooters. This fact is a big attention getter and puts eyes on stories which generates income for the writers and publishers.  At the same time, the media must boy to the shooter's demand that they use he/him as the correct pronouns. Therefore, the progressive media must classify the mass shooter as male whatever genitalia the shooter might possess or lack. 

But if they don't list the shooter as female, they lose the excitement of having a rare female shooter which novelty, as we said, attracts readers. Not my problem, though. Let the media sort that one out. Whatever the back story, three 9 year-olds and three 60+ year-olds are dead and he/she/whatever is also dead. 

No disrespect meant other than that like all mass murderers, I refuse to support their crime by repeating he/him/her/its name. Removing the instant fame removes part of the incentive to commit such a horrific crime. I mean 9-year olds. Really? God help us that it's come to that.

Texas Takes Over Failing Houston School District.

 

DEMOCRATS ENRAGED. That's a good sign for children trapped in the Marxist Republic of Houston. Houston is one of the places where we keep our Democrats in Texas....to try and keep them from corrupting the rest of the state. 

 

The Texas Education Agency is in the process of taking over the Houston ISD, hurting the feelings of Democrats who control Houston. They're already paying protestors to carry signs and yell a lot at local protests according to a friend of mine who regularly scans Craigslist for such shenanigans. According to a heavily leftwardly biased Yahoo news story, "In a letter to the Houston Independent School District, Education Superintendent (Mike) Morath said the Texas Education Agency will replace Superintendent Millard House II and the district's elected board of trustees with a new superintendent and an appointed board of managers made up of residents from within the district's boundaries."

 

Morath says the board has failed to improve student outcomes for the past 7 years, while conducting “chaotic board meetings marred by infighting" and violating the open meetings act and procurement laws. He accused the district of failing to provide proper special education services and of violating state and federal laws with its approach to supporting students with disabilities. Not only that, but the district's schools are failing students by concentrating on "woke" policies and neglecting basic subjects like math, science, English and reading. Scores for students in the district are abysmal.

GOOD FOR TEXAS! It's been getting worse for too long. Just to give you an idea, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee comes from a Houston District. God help the children if people can repeatedly vote for that hot mess and still care about their families over political ideology, somebody had to step in.

 When more than 80 some odd million owners of 40 plus million gas stoves complained about the cost of rewiring their kitchen for an electric stove, President Clueless J. Puddinhead offered this advice (above). Guided by his ideology protection detail His Fecklessness rambled on about global climate change for 30 minutes without accidentally revealing whether the climate would be warming, cooling or remaining the same but with a different hairdo. White House staff called the speech an historical moment that ranks right up there with the times he fell up and/or down the stairs to Air Force One, got lost in the Rose Garden or pooped his pants while visiting the pope in the Vatican.
